Fostering a Stress-Free Environment
Fostering a Stress-Free Environment
Understanding the impact of stress on cognitive development and memory, we at Helen Doron emphasize creating a stress-free learning environment. Utilizing strategies such as background hearing, positive reinforcement, small group learning, spiral teaching, and multisensory activities, we create an atmosphere conducive to the holistic development of a child. Our classrooms are bright, inviting spaces where learning is joyful and inclusive.
English, Spanish, and Math instruction takes place in groups of up to 10 students, usually seated on cushions in a circle to ensure active participation. This intentionally designed environment positively impacts children’s physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development. We strive to provide a comfortable and nurturing setting, much like a home, allowing students to reach their full potential in a pleasing, non-threatening environment.
