Unique Developmental Journey
Every child is unique, each reaching developmental milestones at their own pace. At Helen Doron, we honor this individuality, providing various activities tailored to different learning styles and skill levels to foster each child’s growth and potential.
Building Cognitive Skills
Cognitive skills encompass learning, understanding, problem-solving, reasoning, and remembering. Our play-based, interactive learning environment encourages curiosity and initiative, introducing children to various topics and experiences. These opportunities enable children to exercise reasoning and problem-solving, gradually shaping them into complex thinkers.
Encouraging Physical Development
Physical development involves the refinement of both fine and gross motor skills. Fine motor skills relate to the child’s ability to control small muscles, enabling them to perform tasks like drawing or picking up small objects. On the other hand, gross motor skills relate to activities that use larger muscle groups, such as running or hopping. Our classroom activities, tailored to the age and developmental stage of the children, incorporate plenty of movement, dance, and action, reflecting our belief that ‘an active body is a learning body.’
Nurturing Social-Emotional Growth
Social-emotional milestones revolve around a child’s interactions with others, self-perception, and ability to express ideas and emotions. These contribute to self-confidence, empathy, and the formation of meaningful and enduring relationships. Helen Doron Academies provide a safe and reassuring environment for children to interact harmoniously with others, develop communication skills, and build relationships. Academies serve as mini-societies where children learn about boundaries and societal rules, building a deeper understanding of the world around them.
